Let's continue to talk about the Designer's turnover...a huge good luck to my beloved Alessandro Dell'Acqua that, after the deserved success of his line N°21, is now the new Creative Director of the Maison Rochas...then Marco Zanini ( former Rochas Director ) is the ONE to revive the glories of Madame Schiaparelli...you'll probably remember that I've tried many times to guess who was the chosen one, I would bet on one of this trio: Ghesquiere, Galliano or Rodolfo Paglialunga, I didn't guess the right one, but I'm really happy of this choice as Zanini is one of the most talented italians out now...Happy Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Continuiamo con il turnover di Designer argomento che - come ricorderete - mi appassiona assai...un enorme in bocca al lupo ad Alessandro Dell'Acqua che, dopo il meritatissimo successo di N°21, aggiunge al Suo corposo curriculum la fresca nomina a Direttore Creativo di Rochas...e sono anche molto soddisfatta che un'altro dei nostri grandi Marco Zanini ( ex Rochas ) è il prescelto a far rivivere i fasti della Maison Schiaparelli...Vi ricorderete che si vociferava di Ghesquiere, Galliano o Rodolfo Paglialunga ( per cui tifavo spudoratamente ) per riportare in vita questo Brand storico, Zanini non me l'aspettavo, ma sono piacevolmente colpita che abbia avuto la meglio...Buona Giornata!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's talk again about the Designer's turnover...First change of the year: Alessandra Facchinetti ( former stylist of Valentino first & then Gucci before Frida ) left Uniqueness & becomes Creative Director of Tod's ( Derek Lam was the last Designer of the Brand & left almost a year ago. ) Next big revelation will be - in a few days - the name for the relaunch of the superb Maison Schiaparelli: John Galliano, Nicholas Ghesquiere or Rodolfo Paglialunga???????? Can't wait to know, let's begin to bet... Happy Thursday Ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anno nuovo, ricominciamo con il turnover dei Designers...sapete che la questione mi intriga molto, per cui ecco il primo cambio del 2013: Alessandra Facchinetti lascia Uniqueness ( creato in collaborazione con Pinko ) e diventa Direttore Creativo di Tod's ( se non sbaglio orfano di Derek Lam da un po'... ) Ora resta di sapere chi disegnerà Schiaparelli, Brand sempre di proprietà di Della Valle pronto al rilancio, qui il toto-stilisti prevede un bel tris: John Galliano, Nicholas Ghesquiere o Rodolfo Paglialunga a battersela...a giorni si saprà perchè il nome verrà rivelato prossima settimana a Parigi...Buona Giornata!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2012 DeSiGNeR'S TuRNoVeR ReCaP.

I was thinking about what to write in this last 2012 post & realized that the main thingh I remember about Fashion in this year is the Designer's Turnover in many Maisons...so here a small Recap of the most important changes ( collage via here ): Pilati left YSL ( for Ermenegildo Zegna & Agnona ) to Hedi Slimane...Ghesquiere left Balenciaga to the talented Alexander Wang...Raf Simmons went to Dior & Jil Sander is now back on her seat...Christopher Kane resigned from Versus, Alistair Carr said goodbye to Pringle of Scotland & started his adventure @MCQ, Barbara & Lucia Croce left Vionnet & went back to Neil Barrett, Antonio Marras left Kenzo to the Opening Ceremony duo & the Brand exploded...What to expect for next year?????? I'm very curious to know the new Designer of Schiaparelli ( John Galliano????? Rodolfo Paglialunga????? Nicolas Ghesquiere????? ), then to see Wang at work at Balenciaga & if Ghesquiere will start his own line...in the meantime my Best Wishes to you all for an Happy, Lucky, Healthy & Successful 2013!!!!!!!!!!!

Pensando al post finale di questo 2012, mi è venuto in mente che la cosa che mi è rimasta piu' impressa di quest'anno è stato il cambio ai vertici delle piu' importanti Maison...per cui, grazie anche a questo bel collage trovato su Marie Claire, chiudiamo l'anno in bellezza ricordando i principali divorzi: Pilati lascia YSL ( e va da Ermenegildo Zegna e Agnona ) e arriva Hedi Slimane che leva la Y e ribattezza la Maison "Saint Laurent"...ci si mette poi pure Ghesquiere che lascia Balenciaga ( non si sa ancora per fare che ) dove arriva il bravo Alexander Wang...Raf Simmons lascia Jil Sander ( a Jil Sander in persona ) e va da Dior a fare grandi cose...Christopher Kane abbandona Versus, Alistair Carr dice addio a Pringle of Scotland e approda da MCQ, le sorelle Croce divorziano da Vionnet e tornano da Neil Barrett, Alessandro Dell'Acqua ritorna sulle scene per disegnare Les Copains, Antonio Marras lascia Kenzo al duo di Opening Ceremony ed il Brand esplode...Cosa ci aspetta nel 2013?????  Innanzitutto scopriremo - finalmente - chi disegnerà Schiaparelli ( Rodolfo Paglialunga, John Galliano o Nicolas Ghesquiere????? ) e vedremo Wang al lavoro, che di sicuro non ci deluderà...Per adesso e' tutto, bellezze, Augurissimi a tutte e buon divertimento stasera, io finalmente mettero' il vestito Margiela@HM e festeggerò in rosso!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still astonished for the sudden departure of Nicolas Ghesquière from Balenciaga...can't believe we have to face again another traumatic divorce, after Pilati & YSL, no peace or rest for us, worldwide fashionistas...After 15 years of unbelievable success, an iconic bag, the revived style of Monsieur Cristobal that hit - in a modern way - every street of our planet, this "enfant-prodige" of the Fashion System, can leave his place ONLY for another "Mission"...Time will tell if I'm right & if his next destination will be Schiaparelli...in the meantime, let's celebrate his amazing work & talent, with the pieces I've loved most of all...

Oggi sembro la vedova allegra, sono vestita tutta di nero, mi sono messa pure la veletta di Jil Sander, in lutto stretto per l'improvvisa dipartita di Nicolas Ghesquière da Balenciaga...non c'e' pace per noi, care fashioniste - dopo Pilati e YSL - un'altro divorzio inaspettato, proprio quando filava tutto liscio...dopo 15 anni di successi incredibili, una borsa icona che ha polverizzato record di vendite, lo stile redivivo di Monsieur Cristobal attualizzato e portato al parossismo e pochi giorni fa il lancio della nuova fragranza...questo ragazzo prodigio davvero ha raggiunto l'apice...Ergo: puo' lasciare un posto del genere solo per un'altra "Mission Impossible": vediamo se ho ragione e va da Schiaparelli... stiamo a vedere, sono proprio curiosa...Intanto ne voglio celebrare i successi, postando i pezzi che ho amato piu' di tutti...Buona Giornata!!!!!!!!!!

I've totally loved Rodolfo Paglialunga amazing work @Vionnet and now many fashion bookmakers bet that he will be the one @Schiaparelli ( instead of John Galliano... ) what I've liked most of him,was the perfect use of the color and, as Elsa Schiaparelli is the one who invented the shocking pink, the challenge becomes interesting...xoxo

Rumors insistenti danno sempre più accreditato il nome di Rodolfo Paglialunga da Schiaparelli, anziché John Galliano...io sarei ben contenta xchè ne ho ammirato stile e lavoro egregio da Vionnet e trovo che il suo forte sia un uso sapiente del colore...considerato che Elsa Schiaparelli e' l'inventrice del rosa shocking potrebbero davvero uscire grandi cose...stiamo a vedere...Buon weekend Bimbe!!!!!!! xoxoxoxo

Grandi cambi ai vertici delle più' grandi Maison...dopo Raf Simmons da Dior, arriva Slimane ( ex Dior Homme ) da Yves Saint Laurent dopo l'addio, sigh sigh, di Stefano Pilati...la signora Jil Sander si riappropria della Sua sacrosanta poltrona...l'esiliato Galliano sembra prossimo al rilancio di Schiaparelli (spero disintossicato e pentito...) Stefano Pilati sta meritatamente in vacanza e sembra predestinato ad un'altra eredità pesante, cioe' ad essere il successore di Armani (si vociferava anche di Narciso Rodriguez, ma con tutta la simpatia, non c'e' storia...) stiamo a vedere!!!

Wish I'll go to New York next summer, because there will be a wonderful exhibition @Met starting May 10th...The Exhibition will show an imaginary conversation between two of the most iconic Designers of 1900, Miuccia Prada & Elsa Schiaparelli...the Creative Direction will be by Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge's Movie Director) and actress Carey Mulligan will be the the special guest appearance...xoxo

Se avete un viaggetto a New York in programma nei prossimi mesi, non potete perdere una Mostra meravigliosa che ci sarà al Metropolitan Museum dal 10 maggio...dopo il successo della Retrospettiva dedicata ad Alexander McQueen, la mostra inscenerà una conversazione immaginaria tra 2 delle più' grandi Stiliste del 1900, Miuccia Prada ed Elsa Schiaparelli, mescolando 80 bozzetti creati tra gli anni '20 e '50 da Elsa Schiaparelli, con una serie di modelli degli ultimi 30 anni di Miuccia Prada...Allestimento e Direzione Creativa sono affidati a Baz Luhrmann ( Regista di Moulin Rouge ), mentre la madrina dell'inaugurazione sarà Carey Mulligan... xoxoxo
