Today we talk about cutting-edge master Issey Miyake & his brilliant creature "Pleats Please" which celebrates this year its twentieth anniversary...it was 1983 and Miyake wanted to create basic garments, such as jeans and tees, for his cosmopolitan customers that used to travel a lot & wanted unique pieces without sacrificing both comfort & convenience...a brilliant intuition led him to choose a poor material as polyester & to reverse the classic pleated process by first creating the garment ( three sizes bigger ) and then properly wawing it pressed between two sheets of paper...This process gives rise to his unique & permanent pleating that revolutionized the world of fashion in the last years...take a look at the lovely pics after the jump, created by Taku Satoh, to celebrate the anniversary...

Oggi parliamo di Issey Miyake, maestro d'avanguardia pura, e della Sua geniale creatura "Pleats Please" seconda linea sbalorditiva di cui quest'anno ricorre il 20° anniversario...era il 1983 e Miyake voleva creare capi basici, come t-shirt e jeans, per una clientela cosmopolita che viaggiava molto e voleva capi unici senza rinunciare al comfort ed alla praticità...da qui parte la sfida di Miyake, che prima nobilita il tessuto piu' bistrattato del mondo ( il poliestere ), e poi inverte il processo standard del plisse' creando prima l'indumento ( 3 volte piu' grande ) e poi ondulandolo a dovere ( pressato tra 2 fogli di carta ). Questo procedimento da' vita ad una plissettatura inconfondibile, ma soprattutto permanente che ha rivoluzionato concettualmente la moda degli ultimi decenni...sono capi meravigliosi che sfidano il passare del tempo e l'usura ( sono indistruttibili e sempre attuali ndr )...per festeggiarne l'Anniversario ecco degli scatti unici ideati da Taku Satoh che mi hanno conquistata...Buona Giornata!!!!!!!!!!!
